Time for a side quest. In Canada!

before I get to Cali... and other places, Let's talk about Canada. halfway into Seattle, we took a sidequest there (and we're are only getting to it now due to the power of procrastination). Also as a side note, I'm not known to be good at planning. I don't like to plan. It takes away from a lot of fun. but border control agents tend to find that a tad bit sketchy though...

border control

About 2 hours later waiting to go .5 miles. I pull up to the border patrol agent. In essence, we discuss how sketchy it is to go into another country, with my home state being across the country, and not even having a place to stay, or even an itinerary. I was allowed to let through, probably because she saw that I was a responsible driver with Captain being buckled up and all in the back seat. (and Airbnb proved that I have to go back to the country). A few minutes later, I'm driving the next 40 Km to Vancouver...

Final Thoughts

Now, Canada is weird. It's not the vibe that I was expecting. At least the area I was in felt more closed off than I expected (more like how you expect the UK to be). The architecture looks like it's german (which also fits the personality).

Now compared to the US, the homeless felt much better taken care of. there still seems to be a problem there buuuut, but it's been far better than anything I've seen in the US of A. Also. everything is cheaper there + conversion to USD takes you farther. (some companies slogan ©)

Final Final Thoughts

Honestly, I wasn't here long enough to get an actual feel for it, I came here for almost 4 days over thanksgiving, and It's why I go to new states for almost 4 weeks. Didn't get a chance to talk to many people, and my main experience was what I observed and the few museums that i went to. It's pretty pretty though, and driving in KM makes you feel like you going fast until they put a speed limit that on average, is lower than the US.

6/10, will eventually be back.
