Shia Surprise
So, my last few days in west missouri were fun. There were the variouse fire, yknow, bonfires and such. Better than the fires in colorodo, and way less spreadable this time of year I hear. I got to get work done surrounded by all the animals, deadly cats and adorable dogs and all. And my "Expertise" may or may not have taken down a website for a hot minute.
But all good fun comes to an end and we continue the travels and we continue the drive, next stop, St. Luis.... (i dont know any famous luis's to finish this joke). But lack of good tires, road fatuge, and most importantly a good understanding of jungle law later. we arrive.
(quick side note, the swaying from last post probably wasnt the wind....)

The next place was nice, though the internet was so bad that we defaulted back to data. The place was almost a ghost town though; There were multiple people at the house, thats for sure, but not once did I see anyone in the 4 days that I was there. truly another Karl situation.
The St. louis area reminded me a lot of philly, the people gave off a similar vibe, a little grim with it being overcast or raint most of the time. but mainly it was because of the shitty roads. (I was worried i was gonna get a second flat within 3 weeks cause of that). The main difference might have just been the area that i was in, but university city is home to a university (who woulda thought), which led into hoards of students traveling in pacts, it was only a little sketchy driving at night. the only other thing of note would be the ST. Louis style BBQ ribs... they good. Oh and the pizza, the city has its own "type" and honestly, I loved it. it has the a taste that reminds of childhood, where i'd grab a peice of bread, throw tomato sauce or ragu on it, and whatever cheese i could find for a make do pizza. St. luois does the same thing, but with better ingredients, better pizza, Imo's.

But, once again, where one adventure ends, another starts. and so we continue TO, THE LARGEST CHAIR IN THE WORLD... and then to Cincinnati. With this trip i've realized how hard it is to find food from an authentic, locally owned shop while traveling. You either got to know someonewhile in a place and by nature of a city being big enough, you'll find a few places, and sometimes you stumble in a hole in the wall (except Texas, every place was a hole in the wall and it was great). Otherwise while on the road, its all chain stores, and the 1 place that isnt, is usually closed :( . Lastly, for the longest time i assumed philly had the worst drivers. now, i think it just gets worse as soon as you enter the EST area. After nearly witnessing a truck accident and having some long ass standstill traffic. Eventually we arrive in cincinatti and get set up for the rest of the month.

So, this post is a little late as I finally have time to finish it out. so we follow up on cinncinati and my first few days here. pretty cool. the host is awesome, she did her own traveling in her day and might do it as well once they get a WFH job (she visted a lot of places abroad like Beijing). i got to check out a few food places, and a rock climbing gym that really humbled me in my skill (more so than the gym in cicinatti which fell more in line with climbnasium back in PA).

oh yeah and i may have taken a small tumble, possibly tore or just damaged my MCL and or ACL, and if results come back poorly, then we're postponing this whole trip bizz for like.. 3-12 months.

To be continued... :)
